Impressive Brooch in 14 Karat White Gold with Sapphire & Diamonds

An exceptional brooch made of 14 karat (585) white gold, crafted as a sophisticated unique piece by Alte Silberschmiede / Bartel & Sohn. This piece of jewelry immediately reveals its high level of craftsmanship and design: the unusual shape, the precise setting of the gemstones, and the delicate embellishments create an impressive overall picture with a strong vintage appeal.

Measuring 42.2 × 25 mm, the brooch has a dominant, impactful presence. The entire surface is elaborately set with 110 single-cut diamonds – including 70 diamonds of 1.4 mm, 20 diamonds of 2.0 mm, and 20 diamonds of 1.3 mm. Together, they weigh 1.775 carats in Wesselton (H/white) and VS–Si (very small to small inclusions) quality. The flush setting creates an extraordinary surface fire that stands out particularly clearly and elegantly in the cool white gold.

The design is completed by a fine blue sapphire of 0.59 carats, precisely centered in a bezel setting. Its light blue, beautiful transparency, and good clarity add a skillful touch of color and create an elegant contrast to the brilliant diamond surface.

Particularly appealing is the all-around milgrain embellishment, as known and loved from Art Deco-inspired jewelry design. It gives the brooch additional depth, fine contour, and a particularly high-quality vintage character. The craftsmanship is also completely convincing: the edges are cleanly finished, the shape fits comfortably, and at 12.24 grams, one feels the valuable execution without the piece of jewelry appearing too heavy.
